Lisa Smith Counsellor and Psychotherapist Oldbury

Since 2008 I have worked as a counsellor and psychotherapist in private practice, with clients in order to help them achieve healthy and balanced personal lives and relationships.

Professional Qualifications
I have a Diploma in Emotional Therapeutic Counselling and a BSc (Hons) in Humanistic and Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy. I am an accredited member of the National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society and a member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy working towards accreditation (BACP). 

Areas of Specialism
I have experience working with clients experiencing anxiety, panic attacks, depression, relationship issues, struggle with identity, sexuality, addiction,  and those who have experienced abuse, trauma or  bereavement and loss

My Approach

My model of Counselling and Psychotherapy is integrative, drawing on attachment theory, psychopathology, psychodynamic and gestalt theories,  if appropriate I will work creatively with clients as a way for them to gain insight.

As a therapist, I am deeply committed to being there when you need me most, helping you explore, heal, and move forward into a happy and healthy mindset.

Infertility and Supporting those that are Childless - Foundation for Infant Loss

Online and Telephone Counselling - Counselling Tutor

From September 2024 I will be attending an intensive Trauma course
